True Love

When I was a little kid, I used to think about when I grew up.  I thought about my future husband and thought true love looked something like this:

In all honesty, I probably never thought this, but it is sweet, ha!

So now that I'm an adult, what does true love mean?  What does it mean when you have a sweet little boy who takes a lot of sleep from you?  Here's what I've deemed true love the past couple of weeks.

True Love is letting the other person sleep when you've been up since 4 on the weekend, even though we have a designated switch time of 6.

True Love is watching your husband with your son, making him laugh, talking to him, and being an all around amazing guy.

True Love is having someone that volunteers to get Connor from daycare, just so you can go to Happy Hour with your work friends.

If you know me at all, you know this is far from the truth.  I rarely drink!

True Love is working together to help your child in any way possible.

And probably the last sign of True Love we've had these past few weeks:

Saving Connor's first official solid poop (his little poop nugget) for the other parent to see when they wake up...ha!

Halloween

Yes, I realize it's January and I'm just now getting around to posting Halloween pictures on here and on Facebook.

Truth:  I did not buy Connor a Halloween outfit.  Why?  Well...

1.  We weren't taking him trick or treating (yes, I know we technically could, but Connor can't eat any of that stuff so we'd basically be collecting candy for Matt and I.  No thanks.)
2.  Yes, it would be great to see him in a cute little outfit, but most of the stuff he can fit in is big, fluffy, and hot.  Connor is a hot natured little guy, so he doesn't need to be in a big poofy costume.

So, there ya have it.

Day care wanted them to come in their Halloween costumes and our sweet friends Jessie and Ryan gave Connor this super adorable Superman shirt with cape and all so that's what we sent him in.

He wore this cute sweatshirt over his outfit to go to daycare:

Then, when he got home, we changed into his other Halloween outfit.  Connor was really hoping to scare the trick or treaters, but he ended up falling asleep before they came :(

At least he scared me!

So there's our Halloween!  Hopefully soon I'll do Thanksgiving and Christmas (although I think I may have already covered those on here...who knows!).
