Hello 3rd Trimester!!

Our last Thanksgiving as a family of 3!

How far along? 28 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: I don't even want to divulge the number I saw on the scale at the doctors office...yikes!  However, they didn't mention my weight gain so I'm not sure.
Maternity clothes? Officially in all maternity clothes.
Stretch marks? Hopefully they keep staying away...
Sleep: It has gotten much better. I was sleeping awful last week.  Thanksgiving night I didn't go with my mom and sister to Target in lieu of getting sleep.  WRONG!  When Michele got back after 10 I was still awake!  After shopping on Black Friday (Week 29, Day 1 and first day of the third trimester) I was WIPED!  I slept great Friday night and have been sleeping good ever since.  It has helped that I haven't had to get up to go to the bathroom as much.  I've been going to bed kind of late.  Last night I went to bed early and woke up close to 11 to go to the bathroom.  My body thought it was just a nap!  It took forever to get back to sleep!  Then, around 2:30 Gizmo somehow escaped his barricade!  He is such a houdini!
Best moment this week: Buying a few things for Connor!
Miss Anything? Alcoholic beverages!
Movement: I noticed on Thanksgiving he wasn't moving as much as normal.  However, I chalked that up to being busy.  I was still feeling movement, so I wasn't too concerned.  Over the weekend, he returned to normal.  Then Sunday night he wasn't moving quite as much as I thought.  Same thing on Monday so Monday afternoon I called my doctor's office, just to be sure.  They asked if I had tried drinking a coke.  Uhh, no!  So I scrounged up $1.00 for a can of soda and basically chugged it (so no, I did not really get to enjoy it).  Connor started moving more and they said any movement is good.  They also said sometimes babies just get in weird positions where it's hard for them to move more.  I think he may have just switched positions or something.  He is totally back to normal, so I also wonder if he was just going through a growth spurt and sleeping a lot more.
Food cravings: None, just hungry all the time!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Even though this is technically for week 29, I'll say it anyways:  I had a girl throw up in my room today.  Iwasthisclose to throwing up myself.  Ugh!
Have you started to show yet: Yep
Gender: Still a boy!
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? Still in, but getting shallower and shallower
Wedding rings on or off? Off....boo!
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy and tired!
Looking forward to: Even though it's more than a week away, my baby shower on the 9th!  I'm also looking forward to our childbirth prep class next Saturday!
Other: Heartburn, heartburn, heartburn!  Glad I bought my Tums at Costco!  Also, I never heard back from my doctor's office so I'll assume I passed my glucose test.  Yay!

Goodbye 2nd Trimester!

How far along? 27 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Not sure.  I'm definitely not putting down my weight, but they didn't say anything about it at my last appointment.  My guess would be around 16 pounds.
Maternity clothes? I think I am finally good on maternity clothes.  I feel like I have enough work pants and long sleeve shirts/sweaters to last me.
Stretch marks? Hopefully they keep staying away...
Sleep: Still having trouble falling asleep when I get up in the middle of the night. I'm SO tired, but it just seems to take forever. It's a good night when I don't wake up to go to the bathroom because then I can sleep the whole night!  Also, I've been waking up early every day so far during break.  I'd love to sleep in, but I just can't seem to do it.
Best moment this week: 2: Getting my glucose test over with.  I'm hoping I pass so I don't have to do the 3 hour test :/
Miss Anything? Sleeping normally!
Movement: All the time!  I love watching my belly move all over the place!  I'm looking forward to identifying body parts.

Food cravings: None, just hungry all the time!
Anything making you queasy or sick: No, although my glucose drink did not make me feel too hot.
Have you started to show yet: Yes...but I'm still looking forward to looking bigger
Gender: Still a boy!
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? In. Hopefully it will stay in for good, but I'm not holding my breath on that!
Wedding rings on or off? On, but my finger is itching me like crazy.  I have a feeling they're going to be off soon :(
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy, and tired too!
Looking forward to: Spending Thanksgiving with our families.  Also, shopping on Friday with my mom and sister and the Clemson/Carolina game on Saturday!
Other: Not a surprise, but I'm still having some heartburn issues.  I definitely need to remember to take some Tums with me tomorrow!  Also, I think I'm starting to get a slight cold :(  Boo!  Excited that on Friday I am officially in the 3rd trimester and 7th month!!

26 Weeks

One more week and then I'll officially be in the third trimester!  That's SO hard to believe.
Connor's first Carolina game!  I got lots of comments on my shirt :)

How far along? 26 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 14 pounds gained.
Maternity clothes? Oh yes.  It will be a sad day when I have to go back to buttons and zippers!
Stretch marks? Still none
Sleep: I'm back to the whole having trouble falling asleep when I get up in the middle of the night.  I'm SO tired, but it just seems to take forever.  It's a good night when I don't wake up to go to the bathroom because then I can sleep the whole night!
Best moment this week: 2:  Getting our 3D ultrasound and Matt feeling Connor kick!
Miss Anything? Same old same old.
Movement: Yep.  I noticed on the ultrasound that he was moving a ton and I couldn't feel him, so I guess what I'm feeling are the hard kicks.  Matt finally got to feel him too!  In fact, I finally caught him on video (around 4-6 seconds you see a little jump).  I took this video this morning so it's 26 weeks, 6 days.

Food cravings: None, just hungry all the time!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope
Have you started to show yet: Yes...it's looking less and less like I ate a few too many pizzas ;)
Gender: Still a boy...our 3D ultrasound confirmed it :)
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? In.  Matt and I both agreed it's sort of changing shape and I don't think it's quite as deep as it once was, but it's definitely still an innie.
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time:  Happy.  Matt commented the other night that I haven't been an emotional wreck.  Hopefully that won't rear its ugly head after birth!
Looking forward to: Thanksgiving Break.  I am SO excited.  Although I am not looking forward to my glucose test on Tuesday.  However, on Wednesday I get to go meet with a pediatrician for our little man :)
Other: At our 3D ultrasound, his head was on my lower left side.  I guess that confirms that what I've been feeling are kicks.  Although I do think he changes positions frequently.  A little random, maybe, but I've also noticed I'm not losing my hair as much as I used to.  I would literally have a wall of hair in the shower, but now I have none.  Weird.  I've heard that it's very normal and I'll lose a lot of hair after birth, so we shall see!

3D Ultrasound

Matt and I went today to Small Wonders Imaging in Summerville to get a 3D ultrasound done for Connor.  It was very exciting!

I actually had kind of an upset stomach earlier today, but I wonder if it was just nerves?

The ultrasound is really cool and it's interesting to see how he looks skinny or distorted in some pictures but plump and healthy in others!

I had to lay on my side to get some good shots.  His head is on my left side near my pelvis bone.  Makes sense because most of the movement I feel is on my right side so I guess I'm feeling some big 'ol kicks!

He had his head tucked into his chest most of the time so it was kind of hard to get some good facial shots of him.  He is SUCH  a sweet boy and I absolutely cannot wait to meet him in real life!  Well, okay.  I can.  I can definitely wait until say February 15.

It's finally starting to seem real that we have a little man on the way.

Here are all of our pictures:

Rubbing my face

Look at that smooshed up nose!

Profile in regular 2D.  Check out that spine!

His arms look SO skinny here!

And not so skinny here!

His heartrate was 148.

BIG stretch!

I just love this picture.  What a sweetie!

Flexing?  Stretching?  Showing off his muscles?

Flexing?  Stretching?  Showing off his muscles?

Some of them are super clear and others look a little funny, but we are so glad we did this and got a "sneak peek" at our little man!

Also glad to see he's doing well after his first Carolina game yesterday!

25 Weeks

Another week down!  Very hard to believe I have less than 15 weeks to go.

How far along? 25 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 14 pounds gained. I gained a pound a week between my appointments which is what I was told to do so yay!  I gained 4 pounds between appointments.
Maternity clothes? Yes. I got another pair of maternity pants from Target on Tuesday and I should be able to get through with 3 pairs of maternity work pants.  I can still wear a lot of my regular tops though.
Stretch marks? Still none
Sleep: Overall pretty good.  I'm pretty sure I can feel him moving in my sleep, but I luckily haven't been woken up by it.  I usually get up once a night to go to the bathroom.
Best moment this week: Setting up the crib.  SO exciting!
Miss Anything? I am dying for a fountain soda.  I seriously can't wait.
Movement: Yes!  I love feeling him move and can feel him daily now.  Matt still has not felt it, but it should only be a matter of time.  On election night he was moving like crazy!
Food cravings: None, just hungry all the time!
Anything making you queasy or sick: No, I've been really lucky!
Have you started to show yet: Yep!
Gender: Still a boy!
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? In....and still very deep
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!  This past weekend was SO nice.  We put the crib together and then on Sunday we went shopping.  I finally convinced Matt to get some more work pants and we also got him some new shoes.  Every place we went he cracked me up.  When we were at the shoe place, he walked by a display and knocked the shoes and sign off.  Then, when he bent over to pick them up, his sunglasses fell off his head.  I of course laughed hysterically   We went to Moe's for lunch to kill some time before the mall opened.  Matt went to drink his water and forgot he had a straw in the cup and proceeded to poke himself in the face.  Again, laughing ensued from me.  Finally, we spent an hour going to all of the major department stores at the mall looking for Matt's pants.  No one seemed to make pants for him (tall and skinny).  Our last stop was Sears and we were hopeful since we had bought Matt some jeans from there before.  We couldn't find any work pants, but we did find another pair of jeans.  Walking over to the fitting room I spotted some pants that could work and they had his size!  Yay!  So, Matt excitedly tries them on.  All of a sudden I hear him from the fitting room saying they won't work.  Yeah, the size we had spent an hour trying to find?  Too small.  Matt suddenly remembered, after checking his jeans, that he was not the size we had looked for.  I was literally crying I was laughing so hard.  Good thing we got an extra hour!
Looking forward to: Thanksgiving Break and (I know I'll regret this later) getting bigger!  Also, we're hoping to do a 3D ultrasound this weekend.
Other: Heartburn is still with me daily (♥ my Tums!).  I can't wait to figure out what exactly I'm feeling.  When we went to the doctor, she asked what side he is normally on.  I had no idea!  I told her the side I feel him moving the most (my right side) and she confirmed that side was harder than the left side.  I have no idea how they know...feels the same to me!  His heartbeat at our appointment was around 143, although it kept going up and down.  He did not like the Doppler!

Off to eat dinner!  Connor has been active this entire post!

Operation Nursery Part 3

Today was a very exciting day!  We put our crib together!

We met Matt's parents and Gareth and Ashley at Los Reyes (best place EVER!).  Then, we went to Babies R' Us and picked up Gareth and Ashley's nursery furniture.  After that, Gareth and Ashley came over and helped us put together our crib and changing table.

Here are some pictures of the progress!  Warning:  Photo Overload!

Getting started!  Ashley and I just sat and watched.  I was the official photographer.

.
Gizmo isn't too sure what to think about all of this.  But he's pretty sure he does NOT like it!

All done!!!

Starting on putting together the changing table.  Our changing table sets on top of our dresser and can easily be taken off when we don't need it anymore.

Getting ready to put the knobs on.

Gizmo likes to pretend he's a big helper.

Probably my favorite picture.  Gareth is holding a bag of screws and asking why what they're for.  The look on Matt's face is priceless!  I should mention they thought they were totally finished at this point!

Our changing table and dresser.  Yay!

Ashley insisted on vacuuming.  She definitely has a hard head, just like me!

Another quick view of the dresser with changing table.

We are so excited to have these things set up.  Everything is starting to feel so real.  Of course, feeling Connor constantly moving helps that as well!  We really appreciate the Walton's for helping us get our furniture picked up and the Davies' for helping us set it up.  Soon we'll be setting up their crib!
