32 Weeks

How far along? 32 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: I'll find out next week...not sure I want to know!
Maternity clothes? Oh yeah
Stretch marks? Still none!
Sleep: I've definitely become a lighter sleeper.  Anytime Matt gets up or Gizmo whines, I wake up.  I guess that's my body's way of prepping for baby.  It wouldn't be a big deal if I was able to get back to sleep quickly, but I'm up for over an hour trying to fall back asleep.
Best moment this week: Christmas!  It was so nice to spend time with our families.  It was also exciting to think that this is our last year as a family of three.
Miss Anything? Bending over. I had to have Matt help me with the dustpan when I swept the kitchen today!
Movement: Oh yes.  In fact, that was part of the reason it took me a while to go to sleep last night...he was moving all around!  My mom, sister, and aunt were all able to feel him on Christmas!
Food cravings: None, still just hungry all the time!
Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope
Have you started to show yet: Yes
Gender: Still a boy!
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? Still an innie so far
Wedding rings on or off? Off....boo!

Happy or moody most of the time? Happy!
Looking forward to: Enjoying the last bit of break!  It has been SO nice!
Other: My heartburn is still pretty severe.  Sleeping tonight will be very interesting since I had Los Reyes for lunch and spaghetti for dinner....lots of acids there!

Baby Shower

On Sunday December 9, my sweet family threw me my baby shower.  I was really nervous for some reason.  I guess part of me doesn't enjoy having a lot of attention on me.   There are LOTS of pictures so be warned.

Fruit Baby Carriage...love the "baby"!

The cake!

Diaper Cake my sister made!

The box in the middle has "cupcakes" in it:  onesies wrapped in a blanket.  Also made by Michele!

Not sure you can tell, but I was totally crying when I opened this gift.  My sweet roommate from college sent this gift as a surprise for my shower.  She was actually planning to come, which is so crazy because she lives in Atlanta!  It was such a nice surprise and I busted out crying!

Can't wait to hang this in the nursery!

Adorable doggy pull toy from Connor's MiMi!

Book from Aunt Michele and cousins Kaylee, Kimber, & Hannah!

31 Weeks!

How far along? 31 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: I went to the doctor this week, but I definitely did not look at the scale!
Maternity clothes? Oh yeah
Stretch marks? Still none!
Sleep: Overall I'm still sleeping well.  I did wake up to go to the bathroom the other night and it took me forever to get back to sleep!  SO frustrating!
Best moment this week: We went to our infant CPR class tonight.  We learned a lot :)  Oh yeah, and I'm kicking off Christmas break...whoop whoop!
Miss Anything? Bending over.  I can still do it, it's just hard.  I'm definitely making my kids pick things up for me.  I can't make drastic movements without drastic grunts and noises it seems!
Movement: It's so fun feeling him.  I can't distinguish where he is or what I'm feeling though.  At our appointment,  the nurse felt around and said she thought he was on the left side.  Sure enough, that's where his HB was!
Food cravings: None, just hungry all the time!  I swear, Connor is going to come out as a Chick-Fil-A chicken sandwich and peppermint chocolate milkshake.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Out at the Garden Classroom this week, my kids kept commenting that something smelled good.  It smelled awful to me!  It smelled like Spaghettio's...yuck!
Have you started to show yet: Yep.  The guy at Gerald's asked us when the baby was due so I clearly look preggers to people.
Gender: Still a boy!
Labor Signs: Nope
Belly Button in or out? I'm hoping it stays an innie, but it's getting shallower and shallower.  It's still pretty narrow
Wedding rings on or off? Off....boo!
Happy or moody most of the time? Happy!
Looking forward to: We're going to Babies R' Us this weekend to get a few things, like our crib mattress, changing table pad, and some other things, like extra car seat bases.  We also plan to start packing our hospital bag, just in case.  We'd also like to get our travel system out of the box and set up!  We're only about 8 weeks away.  SO hard to believe!  Oh, and sleeping in!!!
Other:  Last Friday, I got hit in the stomach with a soccer ball.  Connor kept moving as normal, but I called the doctor after school just to be sure.  They said it was pretty much impossible for Connor to suffer any harm or to kick start labor.  I was relieved to hear that!  Oh yeah, and I am finished with my thank you cards from the shower!  Dropped them off to be mailed this morning!

On a side note, the font (for the most part) looks normal to me.  But for some reason, when I hit publish, some of it gets smaller.  It's really quite annoying!

Operation Nursery Part 4

Wow, our nursery has come a long way since our last post.  Here it is with all of the gifts from our baby shower taking over:

Here it is {somewhat} more organized:

Today, Jim and Michele came over to help us install the fan and light in the nursery.  We are SO thankful for Jim's expertise!

Here is what the nursery currently looks like.  We're getting there!  Next up:  Move the glider to the other side of the room, buy our mattress, and hang our wall decor.  SO excited!

On an non-nursery related note, Matt installed the fan in the other room all by himself.  SO proud of him!  Here are some pics:
 Getting started!
 So many wires
Testing to make sure it works!

 SUCCESS!
